Following the celebration of the movie’s 50th anniversary in 2015, we move into it’s second half century with a return of the smash-hit musical to the UK. Yes, the original Sing-a-long-a is back and for the first time in Cleckheaton!
For those of you not yet converted, Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music is a screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious, full-screen Technicolor, complete with lyric subtitles so that the whole audience can sing along.
The evening begins with your host leading a vocal warm-up, judging the fancy dress competition and teaching you how to use your items in your free interactive props bag
Join hundred of other nuns, Julie Andrews look-alikes, Von Trapp children etc as they boo the Nazis, hiss at the baroness and sing their hearts out during the songs!
The audience then takes over as the stars of the show and almost anything can happen – the first rule of Sing-a-long-a is THERE ARE NO RULES! So, even if you’ve been before, come back and re-experience this unique interactive show and don’t forget to dress up as one of your favourite things!
Do you have to dress up?
No, dressing up is not compulsory, but is encouraged. There is a fancy dress competition where the best costumes are chosen by the audience and the winner is rewarded with a small prize. The object is not the winning however, rather the experience of dressing up and the taking part!
Duration: 3 hours 50 minutes including interval
Please note that this is an interactive screening of the film, not the live stage version.
