Opera North's Head of Music David Cowan is joined by Welsh soprano and regular guest artist, Fflur Wyn for an exploration of folk-inspired songs from around Europe and North America.
Many composers weave traditional folk melodies into their works, and this concert showcases Dvořák’s Gypsy Songs, Ravel’s Greek Songs, Copland’s Old American Songs and Brahms’ German Folk Songs, as well as traditional English and Welsh folk settings.
